How to prepare sweet dates 

  1. We mix butter with sugar, icing, salt, and vanilla sugar well until we get the shape of a cream. 
  2. Add the eggs, then the oil, and mix the ingredients well until the ingredients are well combined. 
  3. Add the blossom water and mix well with a hand mixer. 
  4. Add the chemical yeast and flour little by little, until we get a soft, moist dough that does not stick to the hands. 
  5. The dough is collected and wrapped in food plastic, then left to rest until the completion of preparing the date paste. 
  6. Put the date paste in a bowl and add the sesame, cinnamon, blossom water, and nuts, then mix well so that the ingredients mix with each other. 
  7. Make small balls equal in size to the date paste. 
  8. We take a little sweet dough and simplify it a little between the palms of the hand, then put a ball of dates, cover with the dough and press it inside the pastry stamp. 
  9. Lay it out on top of the tray, after having greased it with a little butter or oil. You can also put parchment paper. 
  10. We enter the tray into the preheated oven until the sweetness is ripe. 
  11. The sweet is passed after being removed from the oven in icing sugar while it is still hot. 
  12. After the sweet dates have cooled down, they are ready to be served.

To prepare more than a kilogram of sweets, approximately 40 tablets, we need: 

  • Half a kilo of date paste.
  • Any type of biscuit or sweet cookie is approximately 200 grams crushed. Two tablespoons of coarse sugar.
  • Two tablespoons of honey or apricot jam for sweets.
  • A cup and a half of roasted and crushed peanuts or a cup of ground almonds.
  • Two tablespoons of animal butter. 7 grams of vanilla sugar. A quarter teaspoon of salt. 

How to prepare 

  1. In a casserole, put sugar, honey or jam, salt, butter, and vanilla sugar, and stir constantly over low heat, as soon as boiling bubbles begin to form, remove the casserole from the heat. 
  2. In a bowl, put the dates, add the peanut biscuits, then the prepared mixture in the casserole while it is hot. 
  3. We mix it with a wooden spoon after it cools down a little. 
  4. We use our fingers of the hand and massage the ingredients well to obtain a moist and homogeneous dough. 
  5. We grease the palms of our hands with honey or jam for sweets, then we take 12 grams of date paste, put almond or a piece of any kind of nuts in the middle, then we form a ball. 
  6. The pellets are passed in crushed peanuts or almonds. 
  7. Roasted sesame or coconut can also be used.

  • Walnuts (or any kind of nuts) 
  • Almond paste 


  1. We take the dates and wash them, then with a clean napkin we dry them. 
  2. Slit the dates on one side. 
  3. We remove the kernel and put a little almond paste in its place (food coloring can be added), then a piece of nuts. 
  4. Almond paste can be dispensed with and two or three grains of almonds or walnuts can be placed inside the date.
